A woman/Pewna kobieta

Posted by Robert Cygan on 18 września 2006 12:04 |

There is a woman. She lives in Liverpool long, long time. I arrived to the city to meet her one day. I knew her via posts. She is an ‘ai’ supporter. I had some troubles in the past (1991-1994). During that time I received almost 3.000 post-cards and letters from goodwill people who are against war, aggression, and try to keep human rights alive. Most of the posts I received from United Kingdom. I could not answer to all of the senders, but some became my friends. Mrs. Eve Goldsmith is amongst them. She lives in Allerton area making poetry, art-paints, and drawings. Her son is a pottery maker. I am smiling now, because I remember some photos she sent once. On a one she was drawing a portrait of her beloved granddaughter. I still keep a kind of poem looking like Polish-English mix. Let me give you some sentences:

Full of tenderness I feel,
a babcia (grandma) for another wnuczki (granddaughters).
But you are full from
ready to many and perhaps
you will soon have dzieci (children) of your own!
That will add to mine
and like yours, they will give
Such Słońce (Sun), światło (light) in your life.
I write this piōro (pen) to say cześć (hello)
and meet your joy, szczęście (happiness)
in you Małgorzata (Margaret) hoping
She will be a good żona (wife)
and you a fine mąż (husband).
May the Słońce and the Księżyc (Moon)
give ciepło (warm) and światło on your life,
and a tęcza (rainbow) continually shine
over your dom (home). Cześć to you all,
your narzeczona (Bride) Małgorzata,
your Matka (Mother), Ojciec (Father) and Babcias (Grandmothers).

Babcia Ewa
(Grandma Eve) – January 1995

Well… Nice one, don’t you think so?

Oto pewna kobieta.

Full of tenderness I feel,
a babcia (grandma) for another wnuczki (granddaughters).
But you are full from
ready to many and perhaps
you will soon have dzieci (children) of your own!
That will add to mine
and like yours, they will give
Such Słońce (Sun), światło (light) in your life.
I write this piōro (pen) to say cześć (hello)
and meet your joy, szczęście (happiness)
in you Małgorzata (Margaret) hoping
She will be a good żona (wife)
and you a fine mąż (husband).
May the Słońce and the Księżyc (Moon)
give ciepło (warm) and światło on your life,
and a tęcza (rainbow) continually shine
over your dom (home). Cześć to you all,
your narzeczona (Bride) Małgorzata,
your Matka (Mother), Ojciec (Father) and Babcias (Grandmothers).

Hello,
So, let's chat! How are you?

Hello,

Even I am against censorship, I need to delete some parts of posts as well as some junk posts.

How am I? As a Pole who was living in the U.K. I should say "fine", but I live in Poland presently, so I am going to say: "problems, problems, problems, but I'll survive":)

Przykro mi, ale to jest dwujęzyczny blog. Proszę, więc nauczyć się najpierw języka polskiego, ewentualnie angielskiego.

Pozdrawiam

Very interesting site though there is no couple of sections. But section this here very much even by the way.

I 6 hours wandered on a network, have not left yet íâ your forum! I think, I here shall stay for a long time!

Thanks for the info, whatsup.merseyblogs.co.uk!

Hi,

It's a mix, half mine half Scousers:) 'What's up' Vanguard Group is an Art idea, and Mersey, because the recent form of the Vanguard Group showed itself in Liverpool first.
